Maximize Your Alberta Jobs Now Grant
Alberta Jobs Now allows employers to apply for grants to hire and train new employees in new or vacant positions. The program is a critical part of Alberta’s Recovery Plan, helping businesses re-open and grow their workforce while helping Albertans get back to work and gain skills for today’s job market.
The employer grant reimburses as follows:
- Twenty-five percent of a new hire’s salary, up to $25,000 per employee.
- Employers who hire Albertans who have been unemployed for at least 27 consecutive weeks prior to being hired receive a higher grant: 37.5 percent of a new hire’s salary, up to $37,500 per employee.
- Employers who hire a person with a disability are eligible for the same higher grant of 37.5 percent, up to $37,500 per employee.
